Treatment Specialties:

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD):

Emily and Eric both have expertise in treating OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). This is an evidenced based approach to treat OCD that involves systematically engaging with situations, thoughts, images or objects that trigger anxiety or obsessions. We will work with clients to identify compulsive behaviors designed to temporarily reduce discomfort and reduce engagement with these behaviors. Overtime, this approach builds confidence in managing discomfort and tolerating uncertainty.

Mood Disorders Anxiety/Depression/Bipolar Disorders:

All staff are trained and have significant experience treating mood disorders including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders and mood changes connected to adjusting to changes in life circumstances.

Psychosis:

Eric has several years of experience supporting folks carrying psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, mood disorders with psychotic features, schizoaffective disorder, and delusional disorders. Eric utilizes Illness Management and Recovery, skills based symptom management and Acceptance and Commitment therapy approaches to treat psychosis.

Veterans and First Responders:

Emily has extensive experience providing mental health therapy to veterans. This includes a wide variety of issues including; adjusting to civilian life, trauma from time served, anxiety, depression, coping with distress from following orders that may conflict with personal beliefs or values and managing suicidal ideation. Emily used evidenced based treatment modalities including prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy. Emily has personal experiences working with the armed forces and living within in the military culture.
