Andy approaches counseling with clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. He takes a practical, whole-person perspective and thoughtfully considers all aspects of a client’s life.
He has experience working with individuals from early adolescence through older adulthood in an outpatient setting, providing therapy to individuals and families. Andy’s areas of special interest and experience include resilience, depression, anger, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma-related symptoms, OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder and self-esteem concerns.
Andy offers a client-centered approach that honors each person’s unique experiences and the shared challenges of the human condition. He also enjoys incorporating Christian beliefs into therapy when desired by the client.
Andy recently retired from a military career, where he served as a qualified Master Resiliency Trainer. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School. Andy is a Prepare/Enrich facilitator and is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
